The Newburgh Armory Unity Center offers a wide array of basketball skills programs and classes for children from 5 years old to youth aged 19. The Saturday morning class, with over 60 enrolled is the cornerstone of our weekend programming and is geared to children ages 5-10. Run by the Boys & Girls Club, the program is staffed by Coaches Kevin White and Curtis McMillan and continues for 48 weeks out of the year. On Wednesday evenings the Armory program caters to youth aged 13-16 and 16-19 during the school year. In the summer, we have the popular Basketball Skills for Life program hosted by the Dispute Resolution Center and a 4 nights of league champion ships run by Orange County Hoops, Coach Derric Stanton. The Boys & Girls Club AAU is also held primarily at the Armory for practice and training during the school year.
“Children not only learn the skills they need to play, but also how to work as a team.”
